DORC’s new 3 race series, the “Darwin Family Law No Cash Dash”, begins with the first race on Sunday 2nd April 2023.
An easy and fun 2 hours through the Old Pine Forest at Howard Springs to kick the year off.
Collect your Race/ recreational ride/ I’m just here for the BBQ number plate from 3:00pm for a prompt 4:00pm race start.
We all know that many hands make light work and we would love some people, who aren’t racing, to jump in and give us a hand. Some of the jobs include setting up (from 2:30pm), registration, timing, cooking the bbq and packing up. Please register your interest here or give us a call on 0427611702 for more info.
This race will be the first in a series of three events, sponsored by Darwin Family Law. Each race will consist of a 2 hr event at different locations around Darwin. There will be random prizes for each event and at round three, our overall category winners will be announced. As the name suggests there will be no cash prizes but there is plenty of fun to be had along the way.
Head over to the DORC event calendar for the location and dates of the other rounds and activities throughout the year.
Our race categories for this series will be:
- Elite men and women- if you want to go fast
- Sport men and women- if you don’t want to go so fast
- Masters men and women- 50 years plus
- Single speed riders- you know who you are
- E bikes
If you haven’t raced with DORC yet, it’s a lot of fun. Do as many or as few laps as you wish. You don’t have to ride for the whole two hours. Check out our race details page or ask some of our other members at a social ride to give you an idea what our events are about. Our focus is on participation and fun.
You will need to be a DORC member to participate and this means taking out an AusCycling membership. Don’t forget to tick the DORC club membership box. Our club membership is only $10. AusCycling membership options are up to you. If you only want to do social rides and other non-race activities, take out the Lifestyle option and when you want to race you can get a day license for $35. If you plan on doing most of our races then you will be better off with the Off Road Race option.
During this event you will be required to carry a phone with you for assistance and first aid in case you or another rider needs help. An Australian Standards helmet or equivalent must be worn, gloves and eye protection are recommended.
Registration is online only and will close at midnight Friday 31st March 2023.
If you experience any issues with registration please contact Keogh on 0488992766 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
