We need your help

21/01/2021 by Ian

With our Annual General Meeting coming soon, we’d like you to think about where you’d like to see the future of mountain biking in Darwin and the Top End and how you can be part of that.

We get a lot done with a small band of volunteers, but we seriously need your help.  With have some great ideas in the planning stages, but not enough personnel to see them come to fruition.

If you have time, any time to contribute, please approach someone at the Annual General Meeting.  You don’t have to be a committee member to help.

We need help with things like Race management. marshalling, timing, course marking, trail maintenance, IT skills, social media, photography, and sausage wrangling.

We’ve had an especially high demand for junior participation, and it’s a need we can clearly see.  Unfortunately, our current ride leaders and trainers have full schedules meeting the current demand, if you have an interest and the time to help with junior development, social rides, skills and a junior category at our races, then we need your help.

With more people we can do more and achieve more – and you can be part of that.

Volunteering benefits individuals, groups and organisations, and our local areas. It increases people’s wellbeing and connects them to local activities. It helps groups and organisations to increase their capacity and to reach out to communities.
