Tired of riding through the trails looking like this at CDNP? Well come on down to the trail maintenance day this Sunday the 12th of April and lend a hand to beat back the grass. Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife will have 2 rangers on hand to assist with weed management also. On top of that they will be providing approximately 5 brush cutters for volunteers to use. Don’t forget covered footwear, a hat, glasses, sunscreen and a hydration pack is strongly reccomended.
So that we can cater to all peoples riding schedules, we will be running a morning session 7:00am – 10:00am and a afternoon session 3:00pm – 6:00pm.
Tools and refreshments will be available on the day, although if you have a brush cutter your more then welcome to bring it down as well. Meeting spot will be at the front gate for both sessions. Please contact either Keogh Conboy (Afternoon) 0428821360 or Andrew Goldsworthy (Morning) 0417087602 or leave a message on the DORC page for more details. Spokes NT have kindly donated some Jet Black riding glasses as random spot prizes for 2 lucky volunteers.
If you have backpack/knapsack sprayers, bring those too (15L ones preferable)
Herbicide (glyphosate/Round-up) will be provided.
