New Pine Forest
Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim of these rides is to get all level riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks. They are also a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.
During the wet season, these social rides will be weather dependant. Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates. If a ride is going to be cancelled notification will go out prior to 4pm on the day of the ride.
This Saturday 5 February 2022 our social ride will be at the New Pine Forest, Howard Springs. We will ride some of the Pine Forest sections that we normally don’t get to on a social ride.
If you are not a DORC, AusCycling or MTBA member and you wish to attend this ride you will need to take out membership with AusCycling. Click Here for the Four Week Free Trial
The meeting point for this ride will be at the entrance to the Old Shed site on Howard Springs Rd. Travel past the Howard Springs Rd/Stow Rd intersection approx 2km on the right hand side of Howard Springs Rd. Please arrive at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm start.
Post ride rehydration is a byo affair and we encourage riders to get together after the ride.
As part of our COVID-19 plan we are required to collect names and phone numbers of everyone participating in our events. These will be used for contact tracing in the unlikely event that an outbreak does occur. We also encourage everyone to download and install the COVID Safe app.
