Saturday Arvo Social Ride

14/03/2019 by Geoff Fox

Saturday Afternoon Social Ride

Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim is to bring all levels of riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks and to help you meet other like-minded people.

This Sunday DORC will be hosting the 2hr race in the Old Pine Forest on Sunday 17th Mar 19. Entries close at Midnight on Friday the 15th Mar. If you haven’t entered yet click here. Late entries will not be accepted.

This is a great oportunity to see what mtb racing in Darwin is all about.

The Social ride on Sat 16th Mar ’19 will be a cruise around the course that is set out for the 2hr race. If you missed our ride last Saturday, or would like to have another look before the event on Sunday, this will be your last chance. We will meet at the Entry point to the Old Pine Forest on Howard Springs Road. This is approx 300m on the left side of Howard Springs Rd, past the Stow Rd/ Howard Springs Rd intersection.

Please be there at 4:45 for a 5:00pm start. We will ride around the course at a casual pace so you can check it out before Sunday afternoon.

This ride will be approx 1.5 to 2 hours in duration. It will be at a very casual pace and is suitable for riders of all skill levels.

You will need a MTB in good working order, helmet, gloves, enclosed footware, plenty of water and any spares that you think you may require.

You do not need to be a DORC/MTBA member; However, for insurance purposes, you will need proof of membership with DORC/MTBA or be prepared to sign a waiver.
