Pine Forest Patrol. Preview
Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim of these rides is to get all level riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks. They are also a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.
Due to the outstanding weather we have been having lately, this ride will be weather dependant. Keep an eye on our social media post for updates by 4:00pm on the day of the ride.
This Saturday 10 April the social ride will be an EASY ride at the Pine Forest, Howard Springs. In preparation for the Pine Forest Patrol event. We will ride a preview of the course (but not likely all of it). The Pine Forest Patrol race is a fun event and suitable for all riders.
The meeting point for this ride will be at the entrance to the Old Shed site on Howard Springs Rd. Travel past the Howard Springs Rd/Stow Rd intersection approx 2km on the right hand side of Howard Springs Rd. Please arrive at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm start.
This ride will be a preview of some the course that will be used for the Pine Forest Patrol.
Post ride rehydration is a byo affair.
As part of our COVID-19 plan we are required to collect names and phone numbers of everyone participating in our events. These will be used for contact tracing in the unlikely event that an outbreak does occur. We also encourage everyone to download and install the COVID Safe app.
