MTBA Level 0 Skills Coaching Course

14/05/2016 by DORC

For those that are interested in becoming a qualified MTBA Level 0 Skills Coach please see the attached.

I know the letter is mainly aimed at Juniors and the schools but DORC is hoping to fill all positions with a diverse range of participants. The information contained is still relevant with the main points highlighted below.

DORC L0 Skills course

DORC will cover the MTBA course cost of $220 per participant with a maximum of 8 participants and it will be run on Saturday 4 Jun 16 from 8.30am to 5.30pm with the venue TBA, but I am hoping to secure Pedal HQ at the Parap Road Safety Centre behind the pool. That way you can grab a Laksa or a Smoothy from the markets before hand.

In addition to increasing our number of Junior Coaches within the schools, DORC are also keen to develop and foster some female coaches to enable the Club to run Womens Only clinics to help build the number of women participating in the sport. So Ladies if you are interested or have any questions please get in touch.

For the Juniors or Parents out there who want to see Mountain Biking offered within your school, I’ll need your help to pass on the attached letter to your school. Hopefully if we can get enough schools on board we will be able to run a Junior MTB Schools Carnival.

Finally, thanks must go to Pedals NT for funding this initiative.

Regards

Paul Edwards
