MTBA Level 0 Skills Instructor Course

MTBA Level 0 Skills Instructor Course

​Mountain Bike Australia are pleased to announce that we have a course on offer in Darwin on Sunday 12th August 2018.

The Mountain Bike Australia Level 0 MTB Skills Coach course is the entry point to the MTBA coaching pathway and is aimed at parents, clubs and teachers who want to learn the basics of group management, risk assessment and skills teaching techniques. Participants successfully completing the course will be equipped to lead beginner group rides and assist Level 1 coaches in delivering basic skills instruction sessions. There are no post course requirements and successful participants will gain their accreditation at the end of the course. 

To participate in this course you must be a current financial member of MTBA, and register using the link below. Free trial, community members and day licences are not accepted. Further information on MTBA memberships can be found: https://www.mtba.asn.au/membership/

The cost of the course is $240 per person.

Once you have registered for the course, copies of the following documents will be required in order to finalise a coach accreditation and for you to meet MTBA’s insurance requirements.

• Current First Aid Certification (Senior First Aid or HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid)
• Valid Working With Children Check for the State/Territory in which you are coaching

Upon successful completion of the course Darwin Off Road Cyclist Club will reimburse the cost of this course once you have received your qualification. Conditions apply.
