Fun “D” Mentals

Mountain Bike Skills Course

1st Sep- 22nd Sep ’19

This free 4 week course is aimed at mountain bike riders, of any ability, who want to improve their riding skills. Whether you have been riding for two weeks or ten years you can always improve your skills, correct bad habits or just finesse your style.

This course is based on the leading international standard of MTB instruction from PMBI (Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association) and presented by qualified PMBI and MTBA instructors.

During this course you will be individually instructed on all the underlying fundamentals of riding your mountain bike. You will be able to ride smoother, faster and with more confidence on completion of this course. Increase the skills, increase the fun.

It is important that you can commit to, and attend, all four of the sessions. This course is designed to be progressive and each week’s skills builds upon the last.

This course is free of charge (as long as you are a DORC/MTBA member) and is limited to eight places.

Course Program

Week 1. Sun 1st Sep: Bike set up, body position and balance on the bike, on the trail bike repairs (easy ride through the Old Pine Forest)

Week 2. Sun 8th Sep: Revise week 1, effective braking, smooth cornering, trail scanning (easy ride through the Old Pine Forest)
