Clean Up Australia Day 2021

18/02/2021 by Ian

Before we kick off our season on the bikes, it’s time to show some community spirit.

DORC have, over the past few years looked after our own patch.  This year we are going to turn our attention to Casuarina Coastal Reserve, and Lee Point Trails.

Help us clean up as much rubbish as we can on our national cleanup day.

Meet at: the old radar site.
Day: Sunday 7 March
Time: 7.45 for an 8am start

Bring water, sturdy footwear, gloves and hat.

If you have a wheelbarrow, it will come in handy.

When you arrive, please register with our organisers, for our COVID plan, and also to register your volunteer support for Clean-Up Australia Day.

ABOUT CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA
Clean Up Australia inspires and empowers communities to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment.

What was started thirty years ago, by an “average Australian bloke” who had a simple idea to make a difference in his own backyard has now become the nation’s largest community-based environmental event.

  • 18.3 million +  Australians have donated their time as part of Clean Up Australia activities over the last 30 years.
  • 36 million hours of volunteer time has been donated to Clean Up activities to benefit our environment
  • 380,000 + Ute loads of rubbish have been removed as part of Clean Up Australia activities
