Berrrimah Downhill Fun Day
As you may be aware there is a sweet new downhill run at Darwins BIGGEST hill!!!
The trail is shuttle accessible! A first for Darwin and somewhat decadent. So, all you have to worry about is keeping your bike rubber side down on the run and we’ll sort you out getting back to the top of the MOUNTAIN!!
Course will be open for practice from 3 PM. Following practice we’ll have some timed runs. Categories available for mens and womens and for those up for the challenge you may also enter the hardtail category on top of that!!
I suggest you get down there and check it out during the week. I will host a few rides there leading up to the event during the week so you can make a decision on having a go at it on the day. These rides will be posted on our social media sites and others so stay tuned to them. First will be Thursday 1/6/17 at 530pm. Meet behind the fire station. If you’re not up for the event, please come down and cheer on as it creates a great atmosphere and there will also be a BBQ and refreshments available on the day.
The hill is located behind the Fire Station on Berrimah Road, turn left just before the station. Click HERE for location
You must be a MTBA/DORC member for this event. Alternatively, you can purchase a day pass but you must register online beforehand.
We will accept “on the day entries” only if you have a current membership card with you.
There are some jumps, drops and technical features that you should be aware of. All can be ridden around. These will be shown to you if you attend the rides during the week. Check out a video HERE for an idea of the course
