International Women’s Day Social Ride
IWD 2022 campaign theme: #BreakTheBias
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
International Women’s Day is on the 8th March 2022. To celebrate this day, DORC will be holding a women’s social ride at the New Pine Forest, Howard Springs on Sunday the 13th March 2022. All women are welcome to come along and enjoy a relaxed and easy-paced meander through the trees. What nicer way to spend a few hours on a Sunday morning? Riders will need to have AusCycling membership for the purposes of insurance OR take out the free 4 week trail membership available. See the link at the bottom of the page.
If you wish to attend you will need to contact Jo on 0439 889 442 and RSVP for catering purposes.
On completion of the ride there will be a free breakfast consisting of bacon and egg sandwiches, fruit and juice. This will be sponsored by AusCycling and the Northern Territory Government.
The meeting point for this ride will be at the old shed carpark on Howard Springs Rd on the right hand side at the bottom of the hill just before you go around the corner, almost opposite the the Howard Springs Reserve entry. Please arrive at 7:45am for an 8:00am start.
As part of our COVID-19 plan you will be required to scan in. We encourage everyone to download and install the COVID Safe app.
