Night Ride

It’s been a while since DORC has hosted a night ride. So here we go nightriders, don’t forget to check your lights and charge your kit.

This Wednesday the 11th of November  there will be a night ride taking in the new course for the Monsoon Madness pairs race and a few other trails as well. We will start from Club Tropical Resort. This is located on the right hand side of Lee Point road just before the Buffalo creek turn off please be there at 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start.

The duration will be about 1.5 hours and will be at an easy pace with regular stops along the way.

Post ride rehydration will be at Club Tropical resort after the ride

As part of our COVID-19 plan we are required to collect names and phone numbers of everyone participating in our events. These will be used for contact tracing in the unlikely event that an outbreak does occur.  We also encourage everyone to download and install the COVID Safe app.

Location Lee Point
Meeting point Club Tropical resort

Time 6:15pm for a 6:30 pm start

You will need a mtb in good working order, a helmet, enclosed footwear, gloves and a minimum or 2 litres of water will be required now that the weather is warming up. Riders please be self-sufficient with water, spare tube, pump and tyre levers, etc.

It is the responsibility of the rider to ensure that they have a current MTBA Licence, take advantage of the MTBA 2 month free trial by the link below, this is to make sure we follow the MTBA club and insurance requirements.

All we ask is for new riders to sign up for a free 2 month free trial MTBA membership. It only takes 30 seconds to sign up.

If you do not take advantage of any of the options above you must understand that you are not covered by the MTBA Insurance policy for public liability or personal accident cover. You engage in this activity at your own risk and you are responsible for any expenses should you be held liable for a negligent act or should you suffer personal injury or property damage.

If you are not a DORC/MTBA member you will be required to sign a waiver before starting the ride.

Please see the ride leader before the start of the ride.
