Junior MTB Fun- D – Mentals Course

Program and Information


The Junior MTB Fun-D-Mentals Course is aimed at junior riders aged 12-17 years. This course will provide the skills to enable participants to ride safer, faster and smoother. The course is perfect for both beginner riders and those who want to improve or refine their skills.


Age Range – 12 – 17 years

Duration –   3 Weeks

Day –                    Sunday

Time –         8am – 10.30am

Cost –          Free of Charge (Participants must be members of MTBA, Mountain Biking Australia and DORC, Darwin Off Road Cyclists)

Places –       8 participants

Dates  -       Sun 16 July, Sun 23 July, Sun 30 July

***** (please note: the first 2 Sundays fall within the school holiday break)

This is a progressive course and skills are built upon each week. Therefore, it is important that participants are able to attend all 3 sessions.


Requirements for the course are:

Mountain bike in good working order

Helmet, full fingered gloves, enclosed shoes and flat pedals (no clips)

Eye Protection

Spare tube/puncture repair kit
