Tour de Timor Training Rides

A few of us middling mountain bikers are training for Tour de Timor and after enjoying a relaxing ride to Mandorah last weekend we've come up with a plan for some Sunday long rides up to September. We've been averaging about 26kph for the Mandorah ride but intend to try and improve on that over the next couple of months - that said we're not racing, just looking to get some good miles in our legs. I was wondering if DORC would post a notice on the website in case anyone else was interested - everyone is welcome and we'll probably re-group once or twice on each ride if there are wildly different abilities. Noting that this is not a DORC ride or an organised event and everyone participates at their own risk. For the Mandorah and Channel Island rides we'll meet on the south side of the Bagot Rd overpass on the Stuart Highway bikepath at 6.00am - not sure of the arrangements for the Batchelor/Litchfield rides yet but we'll probably meet at Batchelor store at 7.00am.

21/8 Litchfield - a quick note re our tour de timor ride this Sunday 21 August 2011. We are meeting at the Wangi Falls car park at 8.00am and will do a hills ride. All welcome - we\'ll probably have a swim and lunch afterwards so come prepared.
