Charles Darwin Track Closures Update
DORC committee members met with P&W on 27/10/2008.
The meeting was positive with a good level of understanding on both sides regarding MTB as a legitimate recreational use of the Park. The closed tracks (See map) remain closed for now, however re-opening in future after certain conditions are met is a possibility. DORC members are urged to continue to respect the closures, enjoy the rest of the trail network and wait further news. If you encounter other riders in the Park urge them to show similar respect.

Please note that sections of Charles Darwin single-track have been closed due to archaeological and heritage issues. DORC is currently liaising with the Department of Natural Resources, Environment, the Arts and Sport (NRETAS) regarding the closures. In the interim if you're riding in Charles Darwin please obey the respective closure signage.
