  1. Social ride this Saturday 5/5/2018 . Meet at One Mile Brewing Company Darwin NT at 4:15 PM for a 4:30 ride start. We’ll head over to the trails at Charles Darwin National park. Easy Pace, plenty of stops to regroup. Be sure to bring a few dollars for after the ride to enjoy a brew from One Mile and Buff Wings NT will be on hand serving up delicious food. See you there

Social ride One-Saturday 28/4

This Saturday 28th April, New Pine Forest, Howard Springs. Meeting at the Stow Rd entrance 4:45 pm for a 5:00 pm start. You will need a MTB in good working order, helmet, gloves and plenty of water. No drop ride. All welcome.

All ages welcome.
Come along and see what DORC is about. Non DORC members ride at their own risk.
Sunday 29th April 4-5:30 pm. Meeting at the Old Pine Forest, Howard Springs.
Parents/Carers are more than welcome to tag along. All riders aged 10 and under will need a supervising adult to ride with them.
You will need:
Mountain bike in good working order
Gloves
Helmet
Water
Enclosed footwear

Saturday Social Ride-21/4/18

SOCIAL RIDE. This Saturday afternoon 21st April 2018. Preview of the Lee Point Pairs Race course. There will be two options to start this ride. Option 1 is 4:15 pm opposite the Beachfront Hotel for a 4:30pm start. Option 2 is 5:00pm start at Race HQ which is opposite the entry point to the Lee Point Caravan Park.
From Race HQ the ride will follow the course set out for Sunday’s Pairs Race.
You will need a MTB in good working order, helmet, gloves and plenty of water. Lee Point is known for biting insects. Don’t forget the bug spray or cover up.

Blue Cycles Lee Point Pairs Race 22/4/2018

Who is ready for some good fun trail bashing around Lee Point? Grab a mate and team up. Bit like me and got no mates? Well worry not and enter as “Mystery-Partner please” we will then pair you up.  Course will be approximately 5km long, it will be ran on the same course as the Monsoon Madness race. Don’t worry though, the temperature has been adjusted for this race!!!

The format is each rider will complete 4 laps each for a total of 8, Lowest overall time wins. Categories are as follows Mens, Womens and Mixed. Entry fee is $10 per team and each rider must be a MTBA/DORC member. Day licences are available.

Entry is online only CLICK HERE. Entry closes midnight 21/4. Do not miss out as no on the day entry will be accepted.

Social Ride Sunday afternoon. 29/10/17

Social Ride. This Sunday afternoon (29/10) 4 PM start.
Geoff Has been busy creating some tracks he’d like to share. This ones going to be fairly technical with some steep pinches to climb and some rocky descents. Approx 25km Ride 2.5-3 hours expected Ride time. Aimed at at the more experienced rider. Meet at 260 Trippe Road Humpty Doo. BYO drinks for after the ride.

June Ladies Ride 24/6/2017

Attention ladies!! We are due to hold the June monthly ladies ride.

This time the ride will be aimed at the intermediate lady rider and will traverse some of the more technical trails at Lee Point.
Francene will be leading the ride.
Where: Meet at the Rapid Creek foot bridge.
When: Saturday 24th June, 4.30pm
Who: ladies who are comfortable riding MTB over rooty bits and uppy downy bits.
I can’t promise it, but I reckon there might be a cold drink at the Surf Life Saving Club afterwards.
Please ensure you bring water and spares. I also recommend a few dollars for a drink and if you plan to be out late lights to ride home.
You do not need to be a DORC member to attend social rides. But we highly recommend becoming a member! The benefits can be found here…

Ladies Preview Ride

Hi ladies, Jo Fox will be hosting a preview ride of the Cycle Zone 3 Hour race circuit on Saturday 20th May at 4pm.

She will be meeting riders on the corner of Howard Springs Road across from the Nature Park entrance at 4pm for a 4.15pm start.

The track is approximately a 6km loop and Jo will also show you how to access the race parking. The ride should take about 1 & 1/2 hours.

This ride is for ladies only who are planning on attending the race. It will be a no drop ride and suitable for all levels.

Please ensure you have spares, helmet and water.

DORC AGM and Christmas ride 10/12/2016

Suit up for some Christmas cheer!! If you can bear the heat at the moment that is!! This is the perfect opportunity to nominate as a DORC committee member if you have ever considered helping out. The ride will start at 4 Pm opposite the Lee Point Caravan Park. Please note the ride will be finishing at the Tracy Village Social and Sports club for our AGM and dinner. I recommend parking your car at Tracy Village and riding to the start point.

If you can’t make the ride please feel free to come along to the Tracy Village Club for dinner and Christmas drinks from 6pm in the al fresco area.

Sunday Social. Geoff’s trails 17/7/2016

Geoff Fox will be leading a tour of his trail network Sunday afternoon. Ride will be approximately 20km long. It is quite rocky out there so you will need good technical skills to navigate some sections. Bring with you enough drinking water for 2 hours, spare tube and tools. Helmets are mandatory. Ride starts at 4 PM from 260 Trippe Road Humpty Doo. BYO post ride refreshments.

International Womens Day-Mountain Bike Ride-Darwin 8/3

ROLL UP LADIES!

Camilla will be leading a women’s only urban mtb ride on Sunday 8th March.

Starting and finishing at Eva’s Cafe in the George Brown Botanic Gardens.
Arrive at 7am for a 7.15am start.
We will ride through the botanic gardens then up to East Point Reserve where we will do the dirt loop track, then back to the gardens for a refreshment at Eva’s cafe.
Ride time of 1 1/2 hours approx.
Must have helmet, water and sun protection.
This is an excellent ride for those that want to get involved in DORC but perhaps lack a bit of confidence. Come and make some new friends and get involved in a great club.
This is a ladies only event to celebrate International Women’s Day. Please come and support women in cycling.
